Our Headway Hub in Shrewsbury is more than just a good place to hang out and have a lovely time. Open three days a week, it plays host to all sorts of workshops and activities, all designed to help you rebuild life after brain injury and rediscover your potential.

We don’t do ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to what workshops you can take part in.

Just like there’s no ‘one size fits all’ support plan – after all, no two people have the exact same goals and interests. For one person, success may be communicating more confidently. For someone else, it may be preparing a meal independently.

We use the My Brain Star framework to help us understand your individual preferences, and make sure you’re given the opportunity to experience workshops that make progress towards your personal goals. You can read more about My Brain Star here.

What workshops do you run?

Our workshop programme is ever growing. We have our regular ones, as well as special workshops run by external staff or one-off events, like guest speakers, birthday celebrations or an aromatherapy workshop. Some of the favourite regulars include:

Is there a timetable?

We tailor our workshops and activities to the clients we have in, and to the seasons (it’s more fun to mix it up, and gardening in January isn’t too popular). Here’s a taster of what a day at Headway Hub might look like:

For example, a cooking session provides opportunities to practise:

All of our workshops are carefully chosen because they’re not only fun, relaxing or interesting – they also help support many different skillsets and goals for people.
